Prelude To: Did We Do This?
Where do I even begin?
Several months ago, the question occured to me "I wonder if earthquakes can be created?". Of course, I was thinking along the lines of underground nuclear explosions, etc. Well, I found a lot more than I bargained for. Granted, a lot of it sounds far-fetched to the average person, but I do have a college degree in science and I think I have learned enough to at least rule out the utterly ridiculous. Of course, I am not an expert, and can not say with absolute certainty that any of what I've learned is true--but based on what I know, and my intuition, and prayers for God to guide me, I believe that it is.
The amount of 'stuff' that is going on behind the scenes is incredible! I have never ruled out conspiracy theories simply because they were theories of conspiracies. (Some people seem to think conspiracies can't possibly be true.) As far as I understand, a conspiracy is a plan, between two or more people, to do something that is wrong. How can that be impossible?--we see it happen every day!! So, I weigh any conspiracy theory on its own merits. (Even so, there are some that seem so far-fetched that I dread looking into them!)
A few years back, the Lord pulled the blinders off my eyes. Up until that time, I had always looked for the best in everyone, believed whatever I was told, and given everyone the benefit of the doubt. However, I learned that no one can be completely trusted, mankind is not inherently good and, in fact, some people are just plain evil! In spite of all the corruption that has been revealed, in our leaders, in the last couple of years, some of you have not yet had that revelation--you will probably not believe the things that I will be sharing with you.
One other thing you should know about me--I have never been one to follow the crowd. A lot of what I write about is probably not news to some of you--but others of you may think I'm just one more person in some kind of community of wackos, where all of us are just saying the same thing. (In fact, I have that opinion, true or not, of some of the people who are sharing the information I'm learning from! And I don't agree with everything everyone says--I measure it against my knowledge of God's word, what I already know, etc.)
However, the only communication I have with anyone else who shares any of these beliefs, is through several comments I've received through this site and my responses to them, which are posted on this site. I am a virtual hermit. I have a few friends I see on rare occasion, and I have some family. To the best of my knowledge, of these people, only one friend reads my blogs. My family and friends are either not interested in, or are too distressed by the things I am learning, to discuss them with me. The only sites I visit regularly are posted as links, in the right column of this page--and I watch Glenn Beck, although I disagree with a little bit of what he says.
In fact, my 'education' in all of what is going on, began about a year and a half ago with him. I had been watching Fox News regularly, but grew VERY tired of all the political commentary and speculation. Feeling like I wasn't getting the real news of what was going on in the world, I started looking elsewhere and discovered Glenn Beck on CNN. I remember being surprised, because I was of the opinion that CNN was not a conservative news source, and yet he shared most of my opinions! He was also revealing things that I was learning about elsewhere.
The other main source of learning for me comes from Steven Collins' website (to which I have a link in the right column). I was asleep one morning when suddenly Fox News came on my computer (I have no idea how. I had watched it the night before online, and the browser page was still open, but the video connection had been shut off). Anyhow--the news came on and woke me, with the commentator saying something that caused me to jump out of bed. To the best of my recollection, it was about 2 countries that were conducting joint military exercises. I had to 'google' the names of these 2 countries, along with the word 'prophecy', because I had a feeling it was something that I had heard before, regarding events prophesied to happen in the 'end times'. I had no idea of the journey I was about to embark upon.
When the Google search results came back, I realized I had a potential problem--how could I know which site(s) would actually have accurate information? I prayed for God to lead me, and chose Stephen Collins' site. Neverthless, I didn't throw out my discernment.
In subsequent days, I read and learned a lot, but I was still skeptical. He apparently believes that the US is descended from the 'lost' 10 tribes of Israel. This is something I had learned about (and believed) as a teenager--before I ever found Christ--by reading Herbert W. Armstrong materials (The Worldwide Church of God). My mother told me it was a cult. I don't know if that is true or not, but at the time I believed her and threw the things away.
So, when I read these assertions on his site, I was skeptical and I worried about his credibility, and possible connection to the WWCoG. (I decided to get more info about Herbert W. Armstrong, and I have to say that I would still be skeptical of any of his teachings. However, Mr. Collins, as far as I can tell, is not a follower of Mr. Armstrong. Because of what I've read of his writings, and additional information I have found, I am about 98% convinced that the 10 'lost' tribes of Israel are not really lost at all, and that the US represents the tribe of Manasseh.)
I continued to read his articles and posts, with caution. Eventually I became convinced (although I am not absolutely sure of everything he proposes) that his site is probably 'safe', and I have learned a lot there. As with any site, if you decide to check it out, use your own discretion and prayer. Mainly he keeps up with current happenings, that you may not get news of elsewhere--and correlates these events with prophecy.
So, I've said all that to illustrate that I don't have an agenda, and I am not just parroting the beliefs of some cult or bunch of wackos. I have felt, from the beginning, that it has been God leading me to what I am learning, because of the way that it started--and has continued. There is not one single website where I have gone and learned all of this. It has been a journey, with God taking me from one site to another, teaching me the right things at the right time.
In fact--some of what I have learned is from movies I watched, for entertainment sake, that ended up confirming things I had learned or leading me to the next thing. One of those movies--a story of two illusionists, introduced me to Nikola Tesla. When I found reference to him, a little further along in my journey, I already had knowledge of him and his work. When God is leading you, you know it--not by where you arrive, but by how He leads you along the way.
I feel I need to make that clear, because it looks to me, like a lot of the things I'll be talking about in the future would be easy to dismiss out of hand. Of course you need to pray and use your discernment regarding the truth of what I'm saying, and how it all fits together, but I hope I have explained myself enough that you will at least be willing to listen to what I have to say.
It was never my intention to start a blog--I just had to vent. The more I learned about things that were happening, the more upset I became. So, I started blogging. I have always enjoyed teaching about things that interest me, so I have continued with this. I know there are only about fifteen (at most) of you reading this, but that's fine. (Jesus said there would be 'few' that actually find the way, that 'many' travel the broad path to destruction, so I don't underestimate the value of reaching only a few.) I also know that He leads people to what He wants to teach them, so I trust that if you are here, He has led you. You may only visit my site to learn one thing, or He may park you here for awhile.
I don't claim to be a prophet--a watchman perhaps. I have just seen, throughout my life, that in many things I happen to be a step ahead of the crowd. I am not saying I should be followed. I'm not saying I'm special at all. I'm just saying I tend to become aware of things a little bit sooner than most people--and right now, time is of the essence. So, I'll share what I am learning with you, and trust that you will use prayer and discretion to decide for yourself.
The last couple of days I have looked into a lot of things, and I've learned a lot. So much in fact, that yesterday I had to just shut everything off and have silence for a few hours--because I was so overwhelmed with what I had learned. I just couldn't absorb anymore. I don't think I've ever felt that way before. There were several things I wanted to write posts about, but I just couldn't. I had no idea where to begin.
Today I received an e-newsletter from Chuck Baldwin. It ties in with some of what I have just learned, so I'm going to write another post and link this one to it. It concerns earthquakes, Indonesia, Venezuela and more--I won't know for sure until I write it!! Please check it out:
Did We Do This? (Haiti Earthquake, part 1)
Truly, ignorance IS bliss. However, the hour is late, so--may your eyes be opened to the truth, and may the truth set you free!

Killer wasps
I'm enjoying a pleasant, late summer lunch with a couple of friends. Despite two of my six kids bickering a bit, and the yard needing mowed, and a leaky faucet dripping, I'm pretty content. You might even say I've gotten a bit lazy, spending a lot of afternoons napping in my hammock.
We're joking around when I notice something different. We've been beset by the usual assortment of wasps and yellow jackets, but there's one here I've never seen before. I first notice it as I go to take a bite of my burger. This guy is nearly inside and is wrestling with a piece of meat that it has apparently chewed loose. Something about his manner convinces me to just let him have it. Hoping that will be the end of it, I go back to my conversation.
Suddenly, my friend Miguel leaps out of his seat with a look of terror on his face. We can't persuade him to sit down and for a couple of minutes, we can't even get him to speak coherently. He pulls us towards the house, ranting about his village. As far as I know, he's from LA. Finally we get him to take a breath and start over.
He tells us how, one spring when he was a boy, he journeyed to the nearest city with his uncle. It was a two day walk. When they returned home, everyone in the village was dead! No one was ever able to figure out what had happened, but there were puncture wounds on the bodies.
While we were eating and joking, a wasp had landed on his plate and it brought those horrible memories rushing back. He remembered seeing a few of these wasps before! He had watched them building a nest in a tree stump once, when he was just a kid, and he is certain that it was the autumn before his trip to the city with his uncle! He had never thought anything of it until now, but suddenly he was sure he knew what had happened to his village. Before that autumn, the people of his village had never seen those wasps, and he never saw them again-until now.
'What wasps?', our friend Alex keeps asking. Alex is an amateur naturalist, so he really knows his bugs. Overcome by curiosity, he goes back to the table and waits for one to appear. This guy is fearless. I've thought about nicknaming him 'plays-with-bees'. A few minutes later I see him slowly walking backwards, his face very pale. He makes a wide circle around the table and comes back to where we're waiting.
'You have really got a problem', he says. Turns out he had recently read about a particular species of killer wasp. Because they were supposed to be found only in Mexico, he hadn't paid too much attention. But he felt certain this was the same wasp.
According to him, this species of wasp was predatory, aggressive and more dangerous than killer bees! In late summer a few would search out a good location and set up a nest. Then, during the winter, deep inside the nest, the numbers would explode. In the spring, on the first warm day, they would come out en masse. They were very sensitive to any sort of vibration near their nest, even a voice, and would respond by swarming and attacking. Their sting carried a strong toxin that made it lethal. There was no antivenom. As abruptly as they appeared, they would disappear. Then in late summer, far away, a few would appear and search out a new location and set up a nest. It was also reported that no known insecticide had any effect on them.
I'm usually pretty calm and logical, but I was starting to panic. That was partly because I was noticing that a few of these wasps were going in and out of a tree stump I hadn't gotten around to clearing out. The other reason is that the kids had started playing a rowdy game of tag and were running in all directions.
Now, let's pause a minute. What do you think I did next? Do you think I insisted that Miguel again give me all the details of the spring that all the people of his village had died? Do you think I spent much time debating whether he could really have remembered something he had seen just once, so many years ago? Do you suppose I demanded that Alex provide me the source of his information, or tell me what his credentials were?
Actually, I did, to some extent. And soon I was convinced that both of them knew what they were talking about, were being honest, and their stories were in sync. Then I sprung into action!
Soon the kids were safely corralled and the three of us were using one of Alex's nets to catch and kill the wasps. By evening, we were pretty sure we'd gotten them all. Then I doused that stump and set it ablaze!! You see, it made a whole lot more sense to dive into danger and wipe them out while there were just a few, than to let their numbers explode and have it be impossible to overcome them.
The truth is, this didn't really happen. It's what we used to call a fable, and at the end of a fable was a moral. So, in case you didn't catch it, the moral is this:
So, why did I create this fable? To encourage you to take action now, while it is possible to make a difference! I don't have time, in this post, to elaborate on what I am saying below. If you are just now hearing that there is a problem in America, please read my other posts for more explanation. It is better to dive into danger and tackle a situation when it is small, than to wait until it has grown to such proportions that even tremendous effort is unlikely to result in victory.
This administration has hijacked the country and is furiously building the framework for a new government. At the same time, forces are at work to destabilize things to the extent that this new government can seize power.
We are standing on the verge of anarchy. New corruption is being revealed every day. The old system is crumbling and it is too corrupt for us to go back to anyway. The new system being built is going to strip us of our rights and freedom to self-govern. If we allow it to continue, it may be impossible to ever defeat!
We must stop what the Obama administration is building, sweep the filth and corruption out of Washington, and reinstitute a stable form of government, free of corruption! And we must do it soon! This is urgent!
We are very vulnerable right now, and will continue to be, until we have established a stable government. Our international enemies are keenly watching our situation, forming alliances and moving into position to attack. Yes, it is very important to be sure you are getting sound, honest information. But it is also important, after you do, to move quickly!
PLEASE, quickly start doing your own research. Check the facts, find out what is going on. And as soon as you are convinced, dive in! Yes, there is danger now in resisting this but, if we wait, the danger will multiply exponentially and the chances for success will GREATLY diminish!
I see this situation as a cicada (a nasty, ugly beast , in my opinion). It has crawled up out of the ground in the darkness and is still encased in its cocoon/exoskeleton. It cracks and the nasty little beast emerges. It stretches and sits, and waits, while it dries out and hardens. Then it flies away--and good luck if you want to catch it then. You've got to catch it some time between when it emerges and when it's fully formed. This is a very small 'window of opportunity' that occurs in the dead of night.
So too, what is going on in our government today has been happening in darkness, but now light is shining on it and revealing the details. The window of opportunity to stop it is small. As soon as you are convinced, please act!
By no means am I advocating violence. We are being baited, in many ways, to do something that will allow them to justify taking drastic action--both against us and in seizing power. Please do not fall into that trap!
Be strong, be bold, be honest and speak out! Do whatever you can by legal means. Oppose every illegal, unconstitutional move they make. Surround them. Push back. Don't give in. Don't give up.
**We need our God and our guns--we need God always, and we need our guns, as a last line of defense if we are attacked by our international enemies. Our military personnel are spread far and wide, and are being depleted in the ongoing efforts in the middle East. We need our military back at home now, for our own defense. For that reason, please do all you can to help protect the 2nd amendment-our right to bear arms. An armed populace can be a powerful deterrent to foreign invasion!**

The Gates of Hell Shall Not Prevail Against Us
Jesus promised that the gates of Hell would not prevail against the Church (BORN AGAIN BELIEVERS, NOT THE CATHOLIC CHURCH*). Do the 'gates of Hell' represent the front line of Satan's war on the Church? Does it mean that although Satan attacks the Church and backs it into a corner, he won't win. NO!!! It means that as the Church attacks the gates of Hell--we will prevail!
But, I have to ask, for the last 50 or so years, who has been battering the gates of whom? Who has retreated and retreated until, soon, they will be hunkered down behind their gates, trembling at the onslaught?
Tolerance and political correctness are just new terms for 'surrender'! Was Jesus politically correct? Was he tolerant of evil?
A few years ago it was all the rage to ask 'what would Jesus do'. When He overturned the tables of the moneychangers and vendors in the temple, that was a clue! It was also a foreshadowing of the system we are facing today (Babylon the Great), a corrupt alliance of businesses, bankers & politicians, upon whom God's wrath and judgment will be poured out during the Tribulation. I am not advocating violence. I AM advocating boldness!
Jesus left us with the task of sharing the gospel with everyone, and fighting evil. We were to continue doing the work that Jesus had begun and demonstrate the good that God intended for mankind when He placed us here on Earth.
We were to be the salt that protected the world from becoming a place of depravity! But the 'salt has lost its saltiness'! We were to be the light, to keep the world safe because 'whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open', yet we have 'covered our lamp with a bowl'! The whole world has slid into corruption and gangrenous decay, and we have retreated to a dimly lit corner!!
We have done pretty well at sowing the gospel, but, over time, we have neglected the fight against evil within our own borders. We have become complacent and choked by the cares of this world.
God established America so that we would have a place from which to manifest His power and goodness to the nations!! AMERICA wasn't to be God's witness to the world--America was to be the place from which the CHURCH could operate most safely and freely, and be His witness to the world!
For each of us, it's time to decide which side of the fence we are on! Are we to continue letting evil prevail around us and in our own lives, and lay aside His name? Or will we clean up our own act (by the power of God within us), live righteously, and wage war on the kingdom of darkness?
God will not bless a lukewarm Christianity--we do dishonor to His name! For those who want to call themselves 'Christians', it is time to root sin out of our own lives, and expose and fight against evil wherever we encounter it! Be assured that He is with us--and that the gates of Hell shall not prevail against us!
*The idea that Peter was the first Pope, and that Jesus thus established the Catholic church, is based upon a fundamental misunderstanding of His meaning in Matthew 16:18. If the verse is read in context, it is seen that the 'rock' upon which Christ will build His church is Peter's declaration that He (Jesus) is 'the Christ, the Son of the living God'.
